Music Monday: Gary Numan - Love Hurt Bleed

Gary Numan is one of my favorite artists, especially when I'm creating something and want inspiration.

If you find yourself with a lot of free time right now, you might consider learning something new. Personally, I've taken an interest in software development and have found plenty of resources. I've been using freeCodeCamp.org, as well as the Head First series of books. Harvard has a selection of free classes (with associated certificates), as well. There's more than just software development there, as well, if you're looking for something more.

Wherever your journey takes you, stay safe and be excellent to each other.

Music Monday: Nine Inch Nails - Even Deeper

Sorry for the lack of post yesterday. I woke up to some fairly shitty job-related news, so that threw me into a funk for the whole day.
My asshole brain keeps putting today's selection in my head first thing in the morning (my brain telling me "I woke up today..."). Not that getting NIN stuck in your head is a bad thing. My brain just has a bad, dad-joke, sense of humor.
Keep your heads up, stay safe, and be excellent to each other.

Music Monday: Nine Inch Nails - We're In This Together

This week's cut is from my personal favorite Nine Inch Nails album, The Fragile. There are individual tracks that can be pulled out and enjoyed as standalone pieces. But when digested end-to-end, The Fragile is a damn fine experience. Melodic, dark, gritty, angry...the album takes you on a journey that starts with an itch in your brain, which gets scratched by the end. Today's selection seemed, in title at least, appropriate for the current state of things.

As always, be well, be safe, and above all, be excellent to each other.

Music Monday: Tool - Lateralus

Today's selection is from the album of the same name. In this humble cultist's opinion, said album is Tool's magnum opus. Last year, the band put their entire catalog up on YouTube and all the major streaming services, shortly before the release of their most recent album, Fear Inoculum. While that album didn't quite hit the level with me that Lateralus did, it's still a mastercrafted piece of art. In these trying and strange times, it's important to properly hydrate your mind. Do yourselves a favor and drink deep.

Stay safe and be excellent to each other, friends.
